How Does RC-CAP Work?

The ANACAB Registry of Competent Conformity Assessment Personnel is designed to assess and recognize the competence of professionals in the field. Here’s how it works:

1. Eligibility: 

To be eligible for inclusion in the RC-CAP, candidates must have completed an RC-CAP-recognized course that includes a knowledge and skills application assessments and issues a corresponding certificate.

2. Experience Assessment:

Different grades, denoting levels of competence, are awarded based on the applicant’s work experience.

This experience should be evidenced by letters from past or current employers. Self-employed applicants can provide notarized affidavits attesting to their relevant experience.

 

 

3. Random Knowledge Assessment: 

To maintain the highest standards, applicants may be randomly selected to complete a knowledge assessment interview. This ensures that registered professionals stay up-to-date with industry best practices.

Auditor

Inspector

Experience Requirement:  No experience is required for the Aprentice Level.

Criteria for the Assignment of Disciplines:

For all other disciplines, i.e, Environmental, Information Security, etc, the requirements follow a similar pattern as for Quality Management Systems.

 These requirements ensure that applicants have the necessary qualifications and skills to meet the standards of competence recognized by RC-CAP.

Registered Assistant

Experience Requirement:  Experience as an Assistant in the role being applied for (Pass = 1+ Years)

Education Requirement: Depends on Role being applied for. See criteria for Roles.

Knowledge Requirement: Exam Only (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

Skills Requirement: Positive Past Employer Reference (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

Registered Practitioner

Experience Requirement: Experience as an Practitioner in the role being applied for

(Pass = 2+ Years)

Education Requirement:  Depends on Role

Knowledge Requirement: Exam Only (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

Skills Requirement:  Positive Past Employer Reference (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

Registered Team Leader

Experience Requirement: Experience as a Team Leader in the role being applied to. (Pass = 3+ Years)

Education Requirement: Depends on Role

Knowledge Requirement: Exam Only (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

Skills Requirement:

Positive Past Employer Reference (Pass = 1; Fail = 0)

 

RC-CAP Membership Fee Schedule

At RC-CAP, we strive to provide accessible and transparent fee structures for our members. Please find our fee schedule below:

1. Initial Application and Competence Assessment Fee:

US$250 (One-time fee for new applicants)

2. Registration Fee:

US$100 (One-time fee upon successful competence assessment)

3. Upgrade Application and Assessment Fee for New Level, Role, or Discipline:

US$100 (When applying for a new level, role, or discipline)

4. Upgrade Registration Fee:

US$50 (One-time fee upon successful upgrade)

5. Annual Assessment and On-going Registration Fee:

– US$100 for the first discipline (Annual fee for maintaining your primary discipline)

– US$25 for each additional discipline (Annual fee for each additional recognized discipline)
